Job Description





The Safety and Compliance Senior Manager serves as a key member of the Corporate Real Estate team and has management oversight for the Life Safety functions globally across our markets, focusing on identifying, analyzing, responding and tracking life safety risks within Accentures real estate portfolio. The Safety and Compliance Senior Manager serves as the single point of contact across Accenture for life safety, driving all related life safety/building reviews, gaining approvals and engaging with local leadership and businesses to determine appropriate mitigations where required. He/She works directly with Accentures Global Asset Protection (GAP), GS, Workplace, Legal and Market leadership, as well as has accountability for managing the related external vendors supporting this area. Lastly, the Safety and Compliance Senior Manager is responsible for the systems, processes and training related to the effective operations of this area.







Following highlights the key responsibilities of this role:



+ Provides leadership, direction, development and employee supervision within Accentures corporate Life Safety strategy


+ Manages and operates Location Risk processes in alignment with Global Asset Protection strategy


+ Defines, manages and monitors compliance of life safety standards, policies, processes and tools


+ Works closely with GAP Regional Protective Services Leads for building assessments


+ Reviews and prepares mitigation plans for leadership approval


+ Collaborates with Workplace and GAP balancing business needs with safety standards


+ Oversees life safety data collection and processing of building assessments


+ Oversees life safety programs and seek and maintain geographic stakeholder and leadership support for related programs, including life safety training, awareness, tracking and compliance


+ Manages escalated life safety situations in order to provide timely resolution


+ Builds and manages relationships with Geographic Services, Workplace, GAP, Legal and HR for all Life Safety matters


+ Provides support and guidance to third party suppliers to ensure their Accenture-facing personnel are performance managed to reach or exceed required standards of performance and skills


+ Maintains knowledge of industry trends, peer company practices and Accentures real estate strategy


+ Serves as the subject matter expert for corporate life safety


+ Advises Accenture internal functions and businesses on life safety best practices


+ Facilitates Accentures Life Safety Review Committee


+ Reports on corporate life safety risks and metrics


+ Accountable for the integrity of key human resource processes including career development, salary reviews, recruitment processes and performance management.


+ Provides meaningful and realistic career planning, development and counseling for direct reports and ensuring team supervisors follow these principles


+ Provides timely and effective performance feedback


+ Provides coaching, training and support to improve performance

Basic Qualifications:



+ Minimum of 5 years of business/military experience or Bachelors degree or equivalent degree


+ Minimum of 5 years supervising and managing teams and leading a program or programs



Preferred Qualifications:



+ Certificate related to Life Safety, Security or Facility Management


+ Knowledge of life safety industry trends, peer company practices


+ Experience and success in managing multi-geographical and virtual teams


+ Strong vendor management skills


+ Strong project and change management skills, including continuous improvement methodologies



Professional Skills:



+ High energy, polished executive presence


+ Business acumen ability to understand Accentures business and strategy
